Martin Glenn was appointed as CEO of the Football Association in 2015. Prior to that, he was appointed as CEO for United Biscuits in April 2013. He is the former CEO of the Birds Eye Iglo Group and is credited with leading the company through a huge amount of change and modernising its image through slicker marketing.
Previously he was President of PepsiCo UK, one of the UK’s leading soft drinks and snack food manufacturers, where he is acclaimed for creating a new uplifting corporate image for the company.
Martin was President of Walkers Snack Foods, whom he joined in 1992, working his way up from Director of New Product Development, Vice-President of Marketing to become Walkers President in 1998, and PepsiCo UK President in 2003 Martin is also an active member of the ‘Business in the Community’ charity serving ‘Leicester Cares’ – a volunteering promotion organisation, and ‘The National Cause Related Marketing Campaign Committee’.
Martin was awarded the Prince of Wales Ambassador Award in recognition of his work in this area (recognising in particular the successful ‘Free Books for Schools’ campaign which has run since 1992). Martin was also awarded Marketing Week’s Chief Executive Award in 2003.
When not working, Martin tries to stay fit by running and coaching a kid’s football team.
